Whereas I the subscriber being wrongfully accused by one Mary Woulbert, who, through the instigation of some of her lovers, hath sworn that she is big with child by me, and I being through threatening and persuasion compelled to marry her; but having since found out that she swore the child to the wrong person, I therfore desire all persons not to trust the said Mary Woulbert anything on my account, for I will not pay anything of her contracting from the date hereof, and never keep house with her.

I am not related to this family, I am just passing on this information, which comes from a book titled "Runaway Women, Elopements And Other Miscreant Deeds, As Advertised In The Pennsylvania Gazette - 1728 -1789. (together with a few abused wives and unfortunate children)." Compiled by Judith Ann Highley Meier. Published by Closson Press. 1993. Page 86.
