Douglas township, Berks county, April 27, 1784
Whereas I the subscriber being wrongfully accused by one Mary Woulbert, who, through the instigation of some of her lovers, hath sworn that she is big with child by me, and I being through threatening and persuasion compelled to marry her; but having since found out that she swore the child to the wrong person, I therfore desire all persons not to trust the said Mary Woulbert anything on my account, for I will not pay anything of her contracting from the date hereof, and never keep house with her.
