Creed T. Wray, born 1791 in Prince Edwards Co. Va., a teacher, War of 1812- 2 land grants totalling 640 acres in Ashton, Mason County W. VA, land bordered Ohio River. Wife Lucy Taylor 1805-1883, 6 sons, John H.1825-, William 1827=1863, Creed F 1829-1905, Isaac 1842-1922, Pleasant Wilson 1833-ca1880, Asa 1835=1862; daughter Jane 1846-. All moved to Mason County WVA in the 1830's. Creed T. was the first teacher in Mason County, WVA. They had school 3 months a year. Missionary Baptists. All married with many children except Pleasant Wilson who never married. Our line: Creed T., Creed Francisco., James Delowery, John William, Donald E., Lance D., Samuel Creed (our grandson).
