Hi,
388CE sounds way too early for either someone to have such a surname or for any geneaological record to be accurate. Plus, this Ralph Del Raines sounds like a Norman, and Normans didn't exist at that time, as they were still Danes in Denmark.
Also, how can one family be 1/4 of the entire Norman army?
If I were you, I would not take any family tree that goes past 1066 as accurate, unless there is plenty of documentation that proves it, such as the lineage of Charlemagne. The idea that the Wren family stretches back that far is a great one, but sadly I very seriously doubt that you could prove such early ancestors.
