It is the same John Wrench although I have his birth date as 1 April 1817. He and Mary had 11 children. John's father was George Wrench and he married a lady called Ann although I do not know her surname. I don't have birth or death dates for George either.
Is there any specific information you are looking for?

I have just come across your reply to another person regarding John Wrench. I am researching my husband's family and the John Wrench I am referring to was born at Gt Staughton , St Neots, Huntingdonshire on 17 Nov 1816. Re
search has him married to Mary Elliot (c1809) and they had 9 children, including a Thomas Wrench (His brother Joel was my husband's grandfather - don't worry about the time gap as that's another storey).
If you have information that can help, it would be great.

I think we may have a connection. My father was Clarence Meredith Wrench (born Childers Qld Australia 1897) whose father was John Robert Wrench (born Owanyilla Qld), son of Thomas Wrench. I believe Jacob and George were related to Thomas. My property in Queensland is called High Huntingdon, previously known as Huntingdon but relocated to a ridge on the Blackall Range, hence the later name. This seems to indicate a connection. Also I believe my father made contact with relatives in Huntingdonshire on a visit to the UK in the 1950s. I can probably hunt out some family papers that may shed more light on this.

Do you have any information on Henry Wrench that married a Helen "nettie" (possibly Boston surname) in Michigan in the mid 1930's?
Wrench is such an unusual name I hope you may have knowledge about them.

My Wrench relatives lived in Hertfordshire near Watford , Rickmansworth , Aldbury and some moved to Somerset about 1850 then over to Pontypridd ,South Wales just before the 1900's .

Hattie Belle Lineweaver born 20 March 1867 in Shelby co Oh and died Oct 1951. She was the daughter of Daniel and Elizabeth Norman Lineweaver. David and Hattie were married in Nov 1897 and he died in 1930. Their five children were Henry, Soloman, Alma, Mrs Harvey Gore, and Mrs Frank Sizewand. ( I have some info of her brother Thomas Lineweaver).

Hi,

My ancestor was Ann Wrench who married Edward Wyatt in Hanley in the 1830's, who just happend to be a publican of the Talbot Inn in Hanley. Ann's farther was Richard who was a farmer, and I think that they came from Madeley. There is every chance that William and Ann are related.

Hello,

I am searching for details of James Wrench born in 1820 in Kingsley, Cheshire and his wife and family.

I know that James married Elizabeth Humphreys who was born in 1816 also in Kingsley. I also know of three children, a daughter who married a Walker, as well as 2 sons:

Daniel Wrench born in 1857 in Kingsley
John Wrench born in 1859 in Kingsley

I know of no further details of the daughter, from whom I believe I am descended, or of the 2 sons either. Any details of the Kingsley Wrench family, including their ancestors and descendants and other brothers and sisters would be gratefully received.

from sampson county, nc----have done some research on my family tree---the wrench name is not very popular. the oldes family member is a james wrench married to a tabitha, there are no markers on his grave but as best as i can find he was granted land by king james in the dismal township in the late 1700's he had a son john and from there my family came.--email when you can

I am the granddaughter of one of his daughters Rachel. I know only of two other children - Sarah and Caroline. I have no other information, but would like to exchange what I have.

My gran was MARY JANE WRENCH born 1903 Pontypridd.
My great grandfather was JOHN WRENCH and has been found a Glamorgan Census 1901 aged 23 from Broomfield in Somerset. He was classed as a Railway Engine Stoker and is down as a lodger in Pontypridd.
RG13/5011 . PAGE 39 / 101 List no. 236
I have been informed that he then married a local called Florence Wintle.
found a possible june qtr 1901 11a 887.
but not confirmed yet

It is possible that he is the same John Wrench Born Bridgwater June Qtr 1877 Reg 5c 392.
But this has not been confirmed.

Any assistance would be appreciated from anyone who has already done research on Wrench families in Somerset and South Wales areas.

I am searching for a Thomas Wrench who was born in Staffordshire-The Potteries according to the 1901 census. He moved to Gargrave in 1893 where he married Beatrice Mcconville. He ended living the rest of his life in Silsden Yorkshire. The only census I can find him on is the 1901 and I cannot find where he was born in The potteries. I would love to hear from anyone who may have information on this person.

i dont think i can help you much i can only get as far as Joseph Edward William Wrench b 1877 poss Stafford
this ive gotten from the 1881 census as its the only one that will fit in to the dates i have from his Marriage cert .im sending for his death cert soon hopefully that may give me some more info.
his marriage cert doesnt list his parents there is just lines in there place.so i havent managed to go back any further than 1877 except for the ellis's who were his grandparents on the 1881 census.
