Great to hear that there are some Torrings / Tarrings left.
James Torring Wright was born in StJohns ( Ferryland ), Newfoundland in 1831. He was the son of Thomas and Sarah Wright. ( Iam currently having the birth certificate searched in NF ). He had a brother ( Albert Andrew Wright born in 1832. )
I am not sure when James Torring Wright moved to Australia, but he was married in Sydney in 1852 at Scots Church, Churchill on 26 / 7 / 1852 to Catherine De Young ( spelled in some of the children's birth certificates as Katherina. The wedding certificate actually notes the name as De gong ).
You have most of the dates correct.
Some minor corrections are:
Jessie Henrietta not....Hetta born 05/12/1867
Abraham Henry born 24 / 08 /1872 in Cecil St, North Fitzroy
Ann Rosina born in 1874 in Ernst Cottage Station St, Melbourne
You are missing two additional children
Albert Henry was born in New Zealand in June 1859 and died in Sydney in 1860

We are currently living in Hampton Victoria. Telephone at home is 9598 4320 or at work is 95231 9293.
Torring seems to have had various versions. When searching for birth certificates in Ferryland it seems to have been spelled Farring. There are numerous mentions of Torring in Devon, especially Aveton Gifford.
It would seem that Thomas Wright married Sarah Torring in Devon and moved to Canada in or around the mid 1820's or early 1830's although I am not sure of the number of children, nor how many.
I would be keen to know of any earlier information.
Regards
Peter Wright.
