Possible Melungeon/Cherokee connection. Looking for info on gggf William James Wright b. 1823. Came to Burnside PA prior to 1860 with 2 children Porter Wright b. 1842 and Sharp Wright b. 1844 but without first wife Rebecca (Sharp} Wright. May have came to PA from Alabama. Family oral history states he may have been Cherokee and may have been on the trail of tears. My FT-DNA-Y haplogroup is E!b1b1 so the connection may be Melungeon. Any help would be appreciated
