In 1989 their wee 294 Vaiciulis in Lithuania. The is the patronymic surname, whose root is the Polish personal name Wojciech (the first part meaning war or battle), the end portion meaning joy, consolation. This form which includes an L refers not merely to descent from a Wojciech, but to decent from a dear, little Wojcieh.
