OBITUARY : REV. DANA SHUNKO



Rev. Dana Shunko, age 57, of Bethesda, died Monday, November 17, 2003, at Barnsville Hospital.

He was born October 29, 1945, in Barberton, a son of Blanch ( Gibson ) Shunko and the late Andrew Shunko.

Dana was the associate pastor with the Bethesda Church of the Nazarene.

He was preceded in death by his father.

He is survived by, in addition to his mother, wife, Helen Wycoff Shunko ; daughter, Vania Shunko of the home ; sons, Dana Andrew Shunko II of Saratoga Springs, N.Y. , Benjamon F. Shunko and fiancee, Mackenzie Leach of Olathe, Kansas , Robert Conwell of Saratoga Springs, N.Y. and Bill ( Erin ) Holloway of Columbus, Ohio ; grandson, Josiah Holloway ; brother, Dale ( Mary Ann ) Shunko of Barberton ; niece, Sarah Shunko ; nephew, Christopher Shunko, and a large extended family.

Services will be today, 11 a.m., at the Bethesda Church of the Nazarene, with Rev. Edward Emory and Dr. David Downs officiating.

Burial at Ebenezer Cemetery in Bethesda.

Memorial contributions to the Bethesda Church of the Nazarene, North Main Street, Bethesda, Ohio.
