We live three miles from Nelsonville. I am trying to find out when and where Steve Koslovsky arrived in the USA, and info on his first wife, the Mother of Veruna and Joseph. I got a copy of the cemeteries of Austin County. There is an Anna Koslovsky and an Unknown Koslovsky buried in the Industry Brethren Cemetery. No data is given for Anna and the Unknown marker is unreadable. Could Anna be Steve's first wife? My sister, Alice Cox, said she died of a heat stroke.

I'm researching the Miglas name (from Freeland PA) and I know there are Kislan's on my grandfather's side of the family. I believe his sister Mary Miglas married a Kislan. I have some old photos from my mother with these names on the back: "Paul Kislan Sr. Paul Jr. Ronnie & Patick". Another photo has "twins and Ronnie and Timothy". Do any of these names belong to your trees also?

Not that your ancestral names are misspelled as such, they were written the way they sounded to an American ear.

Your Wydock could be WAJDAK, Bayorsky - BAJORSKI, Czerehowsky - CZERECHOWSKI in Polish spelling.

www.herby.com.pl/herby
Some of your surnames can be found in Slovak Republic.
I am also researching the Koslosky family. My grandmother was Rose Marie Koslovsky (Dec 20-1885 to Oct 28, 1954). Her siblings were Frank Koslosky (1882 to 1932), William Koslosky (1884 to ??), Frances Koslovsky (1888 to 1970), Joseph Koslovsky (1877 to 1965), and Veronica Koslovsky (1874 to 1960). Most of them were born in Nelsonville, Texas with my ggrandfather, Stephan Koslovsky (1846 to 1921) , being born in Moravia. If you have any information which I might could use I will be glad to share what I have. Thanks,

I believe that we might be related. My great-grandfather was
Joseph Wojdacz, who married Anna Ciomcia. I was informed that my GGgrandfather's name was Adelbert Wojdacz, and my GGgrandmother was Catherine Bialic. If you have any information on the town location in Poland, this would be a great help to me, as my parents wish to visit the area where
my Mother's ancestors came from, and thus far, we have not been able to locate much. I have a number of towns listed as possibilities, including Samokleski, Szwadka, Osiek, Jaslo, and Sucha Wola--but nothing pin-points a town directly.

Larry, Andrew was my grandfather Peter's brother. They were born in Samokleski Poland near the Austrian Border. I have just received the name and address for the Catholic Church in that village and will be sending out a letter shortly to try to get more family information. Feel free to contact me.
