My descendants are all wyldes. we have traced them back to about 1300. I know that John Wylde went to Virginia in about 1621 with A Sir John Zouche and they attempted to start an iron works on the banks of the river at Falling Creek Henrico County. It didn't turn out to be a success and Sir JZ returned to die in 1636. We believe that this particular John Wylde (there were many) stayed there.
