JUDGE WYLY DEAD
Vinita: Judge R. F. Wyly is dead at his home in Tahlequah after a long illness. Judge WYLY was a Cherokee by blood and one of the most prominent of the of the Cherokee people. He has held many high official positions under the Cherokee tribal government. He was the Cherokee Nation's representative at Washington when the Slade Bender finding of $4,000,000 was made in favor of the Cherokees. This finding is often called the WYLY finding.
