Wynn's of Poolville,Parker County,TX Photos/Information

Hi. I have some photos of the James Preston and Louisa Jane Frazier Wynn family that lived in the Poolville, TX area during the late 19th century. My grandmother,Ruth Jennings Ford Seaberry, was a daughter of Mary Tabitha "Mollie" Wynn Ford and she wrote the names on some of the pictures shortly before she died in 1972. I am seeking additional photos and/or information and would be glad to share what photos and information that I have. Some of the photos don't have names so I have been trying to compare them to the named photos. I am attaching one of the pictures that I believe contain the following: Men left to right - Hugh Frazier Wynn and William Preston Wynn. Ladies left to right - Marrie Louisa Wynn Garner, Amanda Genareo Wynn Holland, Mary Tabitha "Mollie" Wynn Ford.

Re: Daniel Outlaw Wynn

I am trying to make a family connection for my ggg Peneophle (sp) Wynn. She married William Morgan. Penny was born about 1824 in North Carolina. In the 1840 census of Henry county Tenn she and William are shown living close to a Daniel wynn. There son Henry Galvin Morgan ( my gg grandfather) was born in 1846 in Henry co. In the 1860 census they are shown living in Dent County Mo. Penny is a widow with several children, some born in Missouri in the late 1840 and early 1850's. I have never been able to find them in the 1850 census.
After the Civil War, after losing everything, they moved to Southern Illinois, Williamson Co, Pulleys Mill to be near family. I have never been able to determine who that is. Penny had one son, Smith Outlaw Morgan. He moved to Hamilton county Illinois and is shown on the census in 1880 with his brother John. This is how I came up with the idea that possibly Penny is related somehow to Daniel Outlaw Wynn. On the 1840 Henry Co Tennessee census, is that your Daniel Wynn living close to William Morgan? Any help you can give me to possibly connect Daniel to Penny would be appreciated. I just recently found out about the nickname Outlaw on Smith Morgan. My email is katsulvan@verizon.net

Read the clip from Unsolved Mysteries, and help them to solve this mystery.

Thanks!

Irene Love
A woman discovers that her best friend from childhood is actually her sister.

Irene Love

Irene found her birth certificate

CASE DETAILS

In 1962, 16 year-old Irene Love of Los Angeles, California, was home alone one Saturday afternoon exploring a box she found in her mother’s bedroom:

“I opened it up and there were some papers. They were dated 1942. And I thought, God, Mom keeps this? Then there was another piece of paper folded up and it was a birth certificate. And it had Irene Wynn on it. And I go, hmm, same first name as mine. I said, well the date, that was what caught my eye, the date was the same date as my birth. And by that time, a little bit later on, my mother came home. And I showed her the paper. And it came to light that I was adopted and my mom and my dad had adopted me three days after I was born. And she was fearful that I was going to leave and go and search for my real parents. And I told her no, I wasn’t, I just wanted to know what the story was.”

Last known photos of Dolores Ford
Minnie and Forrest Love had no children of their own, so they were thrilled with their newly adopted daughter. Irene’s parents gave her everything, even a best friend. Dolores Ford was one year older than Irene, and the only child of her parents’ best friends. Irene said they became inseparable:

“We went on camping trips. We went to the park. We went everywhere, to the lakes. We never really argued. It was like we knew each other, we connected. If one wanted something, the other one knew about it and it was always there. We were just connected so close that, there was like a great friendship there. Every holiday they would come over and bring the gifts and we exchanged gifts there in the living room. We basically got the same toys. They made sure that we were happy kids.”

Irene’s mother asked her to think back to her childhood. She asked her to recall Clifton’s, the restaurant they had gone to every Sunday. Now Irene’s mother explained why they had always gone to the same place. Irene’s birth mother, Ramona, worked at the cafeteria. This was her only opportunity to watch Irene grow up.

At some point, Irene’s birth father, Glenn, began to work at Clifton’s too. The Loves would sit at different tables in the restaurant each week so both Glenn and Ramona could see the daughter that they had been too poverty-stricken to raise themselves. Irene says she understood their predicament:

“I never faulted them for what they did. They had to do what they had to do. And I’m thankful that they gave me a family, to the family that they did give me to. So I was lucky in that way.”

When Irene was 10 years old, her friend’s mother died. Suddenly, Dolores seemed to vanish into thin air. Irene never saw her again. Years later, Irene’s mother finally explained what had happened to her friend. Dolores’ father took her to live with Glenn and Ramona, the couple who worked at Clifton’s cafeteria. But why? Finally, the shocking news came out: Dolores was also Glenn and Ramona’s child. Delores and Irene were sisters. Irene was stunned and felt an even stronger urge to reunite with Dolores.

After both of her adoptive parents died, Irene found herself drawn back to the old neighborhood, reliving her happy childhood with Dolores:

“In my mind, I can see us playing together. We were like twins, you know, but didn’t know we were sisters. And so that’s what I want real bad, to meet with her. She’s a part of my early life. She’s a part of me. I feel things that I don’t think anybody else could feel right now because it’s like an emptiness that’s going on inside of me, due to the fact I don’t know where she is. And I hope one day soon that we can come together and be the silly little girls that we were when we were growing up, ‘cause I’m still a silly little girl at heart and I want to be with her as soon as possible.”

When she was 10, Dolores Ford moved to Second Street in downtown Los Angeles to live with Glenn and Ramona Wynn. Dolores’ last known address was also in the Los Angeles area.

My Wynn/Wynne connection starts with a John born it says after 1808 in Ireland and married a Catherine born in Ontario, Canada around 1813. They had around 9-10 children.
They lived around Kincardine, Ontario. Do you know anything
about the John ( 1810) that you list as one of four kids born to Christopher and Maria wynne? I have hunted and hunted for information on my John Wynn/Wynne but just can't seem to find him. Any help you can give me would be great.

Hi,
I'd love a copy of that 86 page document. I was also wondering if anyone has proved Thomas Wynns' parentage, and has a link across the Atlantic? I plan to visit Wales, and if our family came from there, I'd love to dredge up some paperwork. I'd also love copies of those scanned photos, and am up for sharing any of my info.
Thanks!
Heather

I am very new to all of this. The family is aging and we are trying to reach as far back as possible while the first hand knowledge is still with us.

I am unfamiliar with a dna test to determine lineage. I will have to research that further. I am not sure who would have to submit the dna sample. Deane, Calvin & Harry Jr are all still living could one of them submit a sample?
Grandmother aid that he didn't have to shave much and he wore a hat some indigenous people wore back then; kind of a bowler (round top) black and it was said that he got it from his grandfather who was native american. I don't know for sure, but I seem to remember that much.

I am interested in your ancestor line on Outlaw Wynn. I am looking for my ggg grandmother Penophe(sp) Wynn/winn. She was born around 1824 in North Carolina. She married William Morgan and had a son, Henry Galvin Morgan, born 1846 in Henry County, Tennessee. Sometime around 1850 they moved to Dent Co Missouri. She is a widow in the 1860 dent county census. Around 1865, after losing everything in the civil war, they moved to southern illinois, williamson county. Was hoping we might have a common ancestor. Any help would be appreciated.

I am still searching for relatives from my gr-grandparents family tree. They had 8 children: James, Wiley, Ella, William Eugene, Juanita (Warnie), Gladys (Lancy), and Cecil. Mahala's maiden name was Gaskins. Ella married John Franklin Rose and had two children, Theo Bramlett Rose and Rosa Lee Rose (my mother). William Eugene had a daughter according to his obit, Linda Gail Moore, and both her and her father lived in Jax. FL. Wiley had a son Milledge. Juanita married Eddie Mosley also of Perry FL. I believe Gladys married a Parker as she was listed a Gladys Parker for Theo's funeral and she was listed as an aunt. If you have any of these folks in your family tree, please contact me at bosborne2@stny.rr.com.

William E & Estelle Wynn 1939 St Petersburg City Directory

Does anyone have info on these people? I am trying to located a gr-uncle, William Eugene Wynn. I know he was married but have no record of his wife's name. William was a racker in a pool hall and Estelle was not employed. There were no children listed. When William died he was living in Jacksonville and I was of the opinion that he had always lived there since he moved away from Perry FL his hometown. gosborne@stny.rr.com

Wiley & Irene Poppell Wynn 1935 Florida State Census for Taylor Co

I see there is a 66 year old female living with Wiley & Irene according to this census. Does anyone know who this could be? Wiley's mother's name was Mahala Gaskins and the 66 years exactly ties in with her birth year of 1869 but those are not her initials, so I'm wondering if there was an error in gender posted. Wiley's father's name was William (I'm not sure of his middle name, I've heard the initial "D" and I've heard Henry)but the gender is incorrect and the age is off by about 7 years. Can anyone help me on this? gosborne@stny.rr.com
