Bavarian family

Susan
Thanks for bringing this to attention. There is
indeed a Bavarian family and the family Coat of Arms
is black with an ermine (white) chevron or
inverted v. These colours and the chevron tend to be repeated on the many different family arms.

There are 3 gold pheons which, I believe, are short spears or darts.
This ancient Anglo-Saxon family originated in
NE Europe in the Rhine Valley. There are numerous name spellings in Europe. To
my knowledge the family is Protestant or Catholic and were
among the early Crusaders.
This site has much general family information.

http://www.genealogy.com/genealogy/users/w/y/s/John-K-Wysema...

Hope this assists

John

Geographic origin??
Religious origin???
Any chance they settled in Wisconsin?

Magdelena Weisman was born about 1805...
She married a John (Johan Ott) in Germany
and they settled in Milwaukee, Wisconsin...then
moved to LaCrosse, Wisconsin.
They are buried in Calvary Cemetery
in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

My GGG-grandfather was a doctor in south
eastern Wisconsin..strangely enough, in his
medical bags is an old circumcision board...from
about the 1850's...also, we have always wondered
why out grandmother used to use words that
sounded "yiddish" in origin???
Magdelena Wiesman/Weisman..etc..married
Johann OTT..to them was born at least one
son--George OTT who was born in
Neukirch, Bavaria (wherever that is)...
Any ideas appreciated...Thank you in advance,
Wiesman, Weisman, Weismann, Weissman, Weissmann
Weseman, Wesemann, Weisemann, Wiesmain,
Wiessmann, or Wissman, Wissmann, or Wiseman
Susan
apetta@netwurx.net
