I was wondering if anyone had information on Leorie Wysong. He was born in Indiana (?) approximately 1870 and married Margaret. He had a son named Charles (b:1891, Indiana) who married Nita. They had a son, Jaxon (b. 1916, Michigan). Jaxon married Elizabeth Anderson and had my grandmother Barbara. Any information would be helpful. Thank you!

Are you looking for your grandmother's side of the family? Is your grandmother still alive? If so, ask her, she'd surely know. If not get a copy of her death certificate or her birth certificate. Or, if you are looking for your grandfather's side, do the same with him.

How about your parents? Don't they know? It's best you start genealogy with what you know.

Birth and death certificates are best though, as they should have the correct information. If you don't know the dates, check out the cemetery where they are buried (if they are).

Or, at least that's I'd handle it.

Hi Barbara,
I live one county south of Warren, Indiana near Anderson, Indiana. I didn't know so many ancestors were in this area...could to some searches for you if you would like. I was on business near Warren once and looked for the IOF Cemetery, found it, but didn't have time to walk it to find George or Calvin W inninghamor any of the Wysongs. I also didn't know about the Fullers on the Mayflower or the Gustins (Augustines) with William the Conquerer into England.
Thanks!
Bryan

Hope you are still looking for Wysongs..My Aunt Minnie Lou Parker m James Eversole..their daughter Ruth Eversole married William Wysong in the Hamilton, Ohio area. He died and the family moved to Florida. I just found out tonight that Ruth married a Wysong. I was not born when they left Kentucky so did not really know the family. Would love to get in touch with them. Ruth would be my first cousin and is still living to my knowledge but would be in her 80's.

That is possible. I didn't know my great grandfathers name, but I have a cousin with the middle name Eugene. He could have been named after him. How would you be his cousin?

They may be. My Grandfather was Carl E. Wysong Sr. and my father Jr. They were from Clarksville, Ohio in Clinton Co.
My grandmother was Carrie. I'm not sure of her maiden name. Possibly Bowen. I think my grandfather had a brother named Raymond, but I'm not sure of any other brothers or sisters. I don't know where my grandmothers family was from for sure. I know there were relatives in Minnesota, but not sure which side of the family. Any help at all would be appreciated.

Hello! My great-grandmother on my father's side was Lena (I've also heard her called Emma) Wysong Irons, married to Roy Irons. She was born, however, in 1882 and died at the ripe old age of 97 in 1979, weak only in body, definitely not in mind. She and her husband lived in Clyde, Ohio. We have alot of old tintypes, bound in leather books from the 1800's with names and dates (as early as the 1840´s), and I recognize alot of these names. Unfortunately, I don't have the books in my possession at this time, as I live in Sweden, but my brother, Logan Irons in Bellevue, Ohio, has them.

Wysong West Virginia

I am looking for some help on how to get started. My family is very vague with our history. I can only start and end with my grandmother Eloise Wysong; I don't even know her mother's name or her father's. Is there a place I can go to find out about my grandmother's family? Also does anyone know where I would start for Blankenships in West Virginia (there sure are a lot of them!)? Thanks for any help you can give, I really appreciate it!!!! My grandfather's last name is Blankenship and mine is Eplin.

Lena had a brother, William Charles Wysong who was married to an Ada M. (no last name). They had children one of whom was William Charles Wysong, II who was married to a Melba Eversole, had a son, William Jr. and this is my daughter's father and her line. So are lines are connected through
each of our great grandparents
