Don Juan De Xavier

I am descended from Don Juan De Xavier of Navarre, (either France or Spain.) I am curious does anyone know anything about him? He was born abt. 1652, I believe from a wealthy family. There is speculation that he was born at Xavier Castle in Navarre. His son Valentine Xavier was said to have been a French Huegenot.

Is Juana Baca (married to Francisco Duran Y Chaves) the daughter of Francisco Xavier and Juana Francisca "la vieja" Baca.

I am looking for info on my grandfather's family.
His name was Manuel Xavier b. March 1906 in Riberia Seca, Ribeira Grande Azores Portugal. On his birth certificate his mother is listed as Branca Xavier (on her death certificate it says Mary b. 1881 d. 2/11/1939 in MA.) And her Parents are listed as Manoel Xavier Tavares & Jacinta Guilhermina Tavares. I don't have any information on my grandfather's father who is unknown( but someone did say his last name may be Silva) or anything else on his mother's Branca parents.
My Grandpa did have siblings. Their names were Marie b.1910 d.7-20-1972, Jeremiah(Jerry) b.1916 d. 1938 & Irene b.1913 still living but is unwilling to help in my search..
My grandpa married Marion Custodio b. 1908 d.1978.
Any help would be great. Thanks

This was my Great Grandmother. I heard she was buried at sea enroute to Brazil with her husband, Joao Hermiterio Gomes. Their son Gabriel was returned to Madeira and raised by her father whom I don't know. Any connection?

Nancy, on 11-17-2001 you stated you had some information
on Tillman Hattaway. I have been contacted by a young girl
from Atlanta having to do some ancestry work for school. She
had her grandmother contact me. I can not find anything on
him for I lost most everything last year when my old machine

I live in Guyana (formerlly British Guiana)on the tip of South America.I know from existing church records that my great-grandfather and great grand mother arrived from Portugal, here around 1868.Their names were Manoel and Isabella Xavier.I have been trying to find out if I have any relatives leftin Portugal, who they might be, where they are etc.Can anyone help?

Need help finding this family. He was born 7 Oct 1854.; bapt Oct 1854, gp.; William Maloney & Johanna Simpson.
His parents were Simon Benden and Anastasia Wagner.
What I need is who he married and children. I have found through letters he married and had 16 children and he was called "Jerry" but nothing else. Could someone please help. Any information would be greatly appreciated.

Here is a birth certificate for my grandfather. As you can see there is an Xavier in the family tree. Anyone out there related?

Where you see ? it is an "a" or "o" with an accent mark that did not translate

certify that in the parish register book of Sao Roque town (Parish?) in
1892, filed in this registry under the number 41, page11 the following
information:

On the 29th of Nay of 1892 in Sao Roque parish church county and diocese
of Funchal, the priest Joao Fernandes de Freitas and rector of the same
church, solemnly baptize and put the saints oil in a male person to whom
I gave the name of Gabriel, that was born in this town at 5 o’clock in
the morning on the 23rd of April of the same year.

Legal son, the first of his name, of J?ao Hirmiterio Gomes, Carpenter, a
native of Sao Gonçalo parish, Funchal County and Rosa Amelia da
Conceiçao, native of the same parish, house wife, parishioner and living
in the place called Combo Segundo.

Parental grandson of Antonio Gomes And Joaoquina de Jesus Gomes and
maternal grandson of Jose’ Francisco Xavier and Maria da Conceiçao.

Godparents Januario Placido Gomes and his sister Maria da Gloria Gomes,
