I am trying to find out the connection with this couple to my family. When my grandmother passed away 10 years ago, papers were found with information on this couple that looked like she was researching our family tree, but no explanation of family connection.
It looks like she wrote that they were married in WI in 1892 and had six children:
Edward Paul b. 1893 m. Dorothy Good in 1925
Emil William b. 8-30-1895 m. Emma Miller in 1922
Elsie C. b. 1897 died at 11 months.
Carl Henry b. 11-1-1899 m. Lydia or Irene Pawlitz in 1931
Renhard b. 1902
Martha Helena b. 10-20-1905 m. Leonard E. Bergman on 1-21-1945 in MI
William F. Yohpe's parents MAY be Johann Yohpe and Matilde Markwardt, but it's hard to tell by what she wrote down, and I have been unsuccesful in finding information on any of the names.
I am thinking that the connection to me has to be on the Yahnke name, as my grandmother, Dorothy, married Edward Carl Yahnke, son of Emil Janke and Bertha Rosentreter.
Thanks for any information anyone can share.
Sandy
