I have John Yale in St. Clair, Saint Clair, MI 1840 census [Yate]. He was in this area 1830 or so and gone from his family by 1860 when his wife Maria b. abt 1815 in NY & youngest children are living in the same household as Abraham Knapp B. abt 1805 NY.
There is a Joel Yale that purchased property in Michigan in 1826. If this is the Joel who "went insane and wandered away from his family bef. 1850" then his parents would be Joel b. 1766 and Rachel Morse. The info I have found in "trees" on John b. abt 1795 is that he died abt 1805. can anybody tell me where John Yale death info came from ?
