Memorial - A. W. Yancey.
On the eve of Feb. 24, 1904, the death angel visited the home of our brother, A. W. Yancey, and claimed him as its victim. Brother Yancey was about 72 years of age. He was a member of the Baptist Church and as such was found to be true and upright to the cause. Brother Yancey had been a Master Mason for more than 25 years, and at the time of death was a member of the Pleasant Hill Lodge No. 321. He was punctual and always found ready to discharge his duty as a Mason.
Wheras, It has pleased the Grand Master of the Universe in his infinite wisdom to remove from among us out beloved brother to that celestial lodge eternal and in the heavens; therefore be it.
Resolved, That the removal of his life leaves a vacancy in the home, in the church and in the lodge that will be felt by all of his friends and will prove a loss to the fraternity and the community in which he lived.
Resolved, That a copy of these resolutions be spread upon the records of this lodge, and that a copy be sent "The News" for publication and that a copy be forward to the bereaved family of the deceased.
