Chester "Chet" Wallace Yancey of Mountain View died May 15 after a seven-week struggle with non-Hodgkin's lymphoma. A native of Arkansas, he was 77.

Mr. Yancey was in the U.S. Army and served in combat in the South Pacific during World War II. After the war, he returned to the Midwest where he attended Draughons Business College.
