AM INTRESTED IN YOUR WEB SITE. MY GRANDFATHER WAS J M YANDELL, MARRIED TO BETTIE TAYLOR. MY MOTHER WAS DOLLIE YANDELL. AT SOME AREA THE SPELLING WAS CHANGED FROM YANDLES. BOTH SPELLINGS HAVE SHOWED UP FOR THE SAME FAMILY. THANKS. MAE CURT

Hi Freida,

I'm trying to helpmy in-laws research their Yandell's and found this post. I've found alot of information, but would love to find more. My line is the William Wilson Yandell, Dr., and he seems to have a whole family of Drs.

My research on my Yandel's is in the very early stages. I have seen somewhere on the Yandell surname that someone has written a book and perhaps that might help you. I have no other research names other than Henry and Mary.

Hi, I checked with my sister to get the name of the person who has the book. The name of the book is The Yandell Family of the Carolinas.
The contact person is: Mrs. V. Nan Yarbrough, 502 S.E. Ninth Street, Pryor, OK 74361 This is who my sister ordered the book from. I have read it and it is a great family history. It has lots of old photos and some amazing historical letters. It is a hardback book that is about 2-21/2" thick. My sister said that it cost about $50. I know that my sister has had this book for a number of years and I am not sure if the seller still has any left. I do know that it is has a copyright. I hope this helps. Let me know if it does.

Hi, my aunt, dad, and sister all have copies of the The Yandell family book. I belive that it was a very small print. I am not sure how many copies were made. I would be glad to check into it for you.

I was talking to my father tonight about our family history when he mentioned Yandel and looked it up on the web. I have a great grandmother Elizabeth Jane Yandel 1860 - 1920 from Liverpool England. Any links with the sea as my family regularly traversed the Atlantic on passenger ships as crew?

Any information about the Yandel family living in Chicago....my father was born there 4-17-1915-I believe his mother's name was Lucille. No idea about the father's name. My father's real name was Harry (or Henry) August Yandel.
