Hi,
I need help with this family.
Joseph S. Yarbrough b Oct 1853 AR
Mabel Hamilton Yarbrough b 1863
Joseph M. Yarbrough b 1883 TX
This family is last found on the 1900 census in Houston,Harris Co., TX.
I cannot find the family after this date.
Was Joseph M. Yarbrough the son of Joseph S, or was he a stepson listed with the wrong name.
Mabel was the sister of my ancestor, but, I'm trying to confirm her name. There was never a Mabel Hamilton on the census records so she had to be listed under a first or middle name.
In 1902, Mrs. Mabel Yarbrough was listed as feme sole in a deed, so, she was either divorced or widowed at that time, as best as I can guess.
Also, as far as marriage records, my best guess is that the marriage happened in Williamson, Milam, Lee, or Bastrop County (all very close county lines) mid 1880 - so I can firm the date with the birth of the son.
If anyone can shed some light on this Yarbrough family it would help.
Thanks,
Pam Cain
