Mads and Ulrikke are my maternal great-grandparents. Mads mother's name was Dorothy, I do not have a father's name. Ulrikke's parents were Jens Pederson and Johanne Jensdatter (Jenson). Mads and Ulrikke both died in Maine and are buried in Forest City Cemetary, South Portland, Maine

Johanne Yde, age 16 emigrated from Hundborg, Thisted, Denmark to Portland, Maine on October 6, 1890. Her father's name was Mads Christian Yde, Mother Ulikde Johanne Jensdatter (Fensen).
Johanne was born July 15, 1874 in Denmark, died July 8, 1929 in Porter, Maine. She married Alfred Salisbury Batty in Portland, Maine.
Is anyone familiar with this couple and have information they would like to share? I would enjoy hearing from you.

Elisabeth Katherine Yde was born June 17, 1870 in Denmark
Emigrated from Forby, Thisted, Denmark to Portland, Maine August 10, 1888 and went to Sacarappa, Maine (Now known as Westbrook, Maine)
Elisabeth anglicized her name to Elizabeth and was aka Katherine.
Elizabeth married Ole William Hansen and they spent the last 15 years of her life living in North Vassalboro, Maine. She died March 16, 1941 at the age of 75 yrs 8 months 30 days.

Does any one have any information concerning Elizabeth or Ole?

Homesteaded in Towner N.D until 1914
moved to Devils Lake N.D

May not be any relationship, but in my research on my Grandmother Johanna Yde emigrated from Denmark to Milltown, Wisconsin - I have the following info on a Peter Yde - born August 25, 1900, and died September 1976 in Lake Shore, Crow Wing Cty., Minnesota.
Land records: June 28, 1901, Township 133 N, Range 30 W, Accession Number: MN 2690_152
Property: June 28, 1901, Township 133 N, Range 30 W, Accession Number: MN 2690_152
Residence: Bxxter, Brainerd, East Gull Lake and Lake Shore - all in Crow Wing County, Minnesota
Social Security Number: 471-42-6400, issued in Minnesota before 1955. GOod luck!

My Johanna Yde emigrated from Thistad, Denmark in 1878. Settled in Milltown, Wisconsin alone with two brothers (Martin, John) and a sister (Kristen).

My family also emigrated from Thisted area in Demark around 1900 they cam to Alloa in Scotland then went to Perth where they Yde family had 13 children.

Johanna Yde married Alfred Salisbury Batty on July 3, 1899. They had six children. Do you want to know a little more?
