I have a large family tree that I would like to share with them and if possible, add more of their family infomation to it. They have an uncle named Milton that I have been in touch with. I bet your Aunt is Ruby Yeakley. Anyway Amanda, we are ALL connected by that name. There has not been one Yeakley family enter this country since it was first recorded per the Immigration Dept. I have worked on George's brother, Jacob's line and even traced one of them back to St. Joseph,Missour. Have his death cert. If they are in Texas, they are ours down from George O. Yeakley and Lydia Grubbs. That is the line these people are from but low and behold, the Texas Death cert. don't always list the parents.

Hi my name is Amanda Martin. My maiden name is Yeakley. We live in Arkansas. My aunt has been doing research on the Yeakley's for as long as I can remember. I didn't know if you would be interested in knowing anything for your research. I doubt any of us are on the Tesas death list, but who knows, it could help.

Alice Bageant. My Grandmother was Mary Hinkle Yeakley. Her dad was John Carson Yeakley.
I have some different info;
John Carson was born 8 March 1857 & then Elizabeth Ida was born 16 Jan 1859 / I have James Eddie as a name not Eddied & I have him born 22 May 1871 / I also have Ellis Vance Yeakley born 20 Aug 1874 / Carrie's name was Caroline Carrie Alice

Found a birth certificate issued in Yuma, Arizona for a Emmett Spencer Jr. b. 14 May 1923. Mother Varina Yeakley born about 1902 Texas and father Emmett Spencer born about 1894 in Illinois. All Yeakely's in Texas are in my family and would like to place her.

I am looking for this couple. Daniel their son died in Buchanan Co., Missouri in 1916 but does not appear to belong to the rest of the Yeakley's in Missouri. His death cert. states he was born in Kenn, I take it as Kentucky. His parents are liste as Levi and Elizabeth.

This is actually my husband's family, but I was doing the genealogy search. The best source you can get on the Yeagley (etc.) family is the book: The Yeagleys of Penryn: The Edward Hummer Yeagley Family and Genealogies of Jacob Jackle and John Hummer by Herbert W. Yeagley and Ronald D. Myers.

My husband is descended from Jacob Jackle > Jacob Jegly > George Yeagley > Catherine Yeagley m. to Andrew Brehm.

There is a Clair H. Yeagley listed on p. 66 of the book. Do you need any info. that goes back further? According to the book it goes:

I am the woman searching for Charlotte Yeakley. I am so glad to hear from you. I am from the Yeakley family thru a George Yeakley b. 1738 in Pennsylvania. The Berks Co., Historical Society tells me that there is not but one Yeakley family intering this country. So, that means we are connected. At the time I spoke to Charlotte, I had just go started on my Yeakley family so could not have hoped that we could connect. Now I am on firmer ground, I think. I would like to try again if you are willing.

Mrs. Yeakley Dies At Early Hour; Ill Long Time
Mrs. Alice Yeakley, widow of J. Carson Yeakley, who was a well-known citizen of the community, died at 1,25 o'clock this morning at the home of her son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Richard Mills on Highland avenue. Her death followed a protracted illness and was not entirely unexpected. Her husband died about two years ago.
Mrs. Yeakley is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Richard Mills, of this city, and Mrs. Luther Beckley of Harrisburg, Pa. She also leaves one sister, Mrs. Jane A. Kern, of this city, and four brothers, William Boyd of Gerrardstown, W. Va.; Robert and Levi Boyd, of Frederick county and Charles Boyd, of Winchester. She leaves 14 grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.
The funeral will take place from the home of Mr. and Mrs. Mills, No. 436 Highland avenue, Monday morning at 11 o'clock and the services will be conducted by the Rev. Joseph Duckwall, of the Presbyterian Church. Burial will be in Mount Hebron Cemetery.
