UPDATE: Mary Eleanor Yorker b. Sept. 1, 1862 in
Berrien Twp, Berrien Co., MI daughter of Christopher
C. Yorker and Lydia Ann Batson. Mary married Martin Strait Lewis Jan. 29, 1855 in Berrien Co., MI. Mary d. Aug 30, 1944 in Patton State Hospital, San Bernardino Co., CA. She was cremated at Mt. View Cemetery also in San Bernardino. Her husband, Martin, was b. Feb.
1863 in West Stockholm, St. Lawrence Co., NY and
d. Sep. 18, 1934 Patton State Hospital, San Bernardino
Co., CA. Simpson Funeral Home was listed, but don't
know if he was cremated.

I have some information on the McCutchins from WI. My GGgrandfather was William A. McCutchin. He had an older sister who's daughter married a Walter Yorker, they left WI. and settled in Seattle WA. Anyway, as stated I have some info. on the McCutchin line.

Was your dad's name Robert? I do remember you coming one summer and spending time with my family. My family is still in Sandersville, Georgia. They are still having the reunions every year around July 15th. I have thought about you often, and wondered where you were, and what you were doing. We kind of lost touch after you left and I went back to college. I live in Chesapeake Virginia now. I am more than willing to provide any information you may need. Uncle Rob was one of my dad's brothers.

I have an ancestor Rosetta Cappel who was married to H. Yorker. Like your ancestor, she also was born in Michigan and ended up in Redlands, San Bernardino Co., CA. Did you find any mention of a Rosetta in your papers or a sibbling of C. Yorker who might be the H. Yorker that Rosetta married?

Yorker. b. 01-01-1862 Michigan, d. 08-30-1944
San Bernardino Co., CA. m. Martin Strait Lewis, Jr. 07-31-1883 Chaska, MN. She was a
telegrapher (as was my great grandfather,
when they met).
Some of her siblings were: Arthur, William B.
Annie. Other names connected with her are
from letters she received: Lillian (Deyoe)

Searching for info on my paternal grandmother. Mary Elizabeth Yorker. I have no
birth date or place. I beleive she died in
Riverside County, Ca. sometime in the 1930's.
She was married to Martin Strait Lewis, Sr.
They had two sons that I know of, Martin Jr.
and William.

does any one have any info on the yorkers from Georgia. I was born there but as a child moved to florida i donot have any info on my fathers family up there but if anyone have any information that would be great.
