William YOST PA to VA 1770s

Searching for anything on William (Wilhelm?) YOST, sometimes spelled YOUST, who came to what is today Morgan Co WV (then Berkeley Co VA), probably before 1770. He paid Pennsylvania currency for land in the 1770s (after sale of land there?). He was born about 1744. Children include John, Peter. Wife may have been Elizabeth CLOVER. He died around 1824 in Morgan County. Any ideas where in Pennsylvania he may have been from?
