Harry Youngblood help?

I'm looking for information on my grandfather. I’m picking up where my father left off...

My father, Russell, was born in 1928 in El Paso, TX. His birth certificate lists his parents as Harry and Maria, and that Harry was born in Springfield, Mo. With the date given on the certificate my grandfather would have to have been born in 1892. He was supposedly a soldier at Fort Bliss about the time my dad was born, and disappeared without a trace in about 1930.

The problem is, in researching him, that Sangamon County (Springfield) has no record of a Harry Youngblood being born there in 1892 (or, at least in theory, no H. Russell, Russell H. or “Baby” Youngblood), so I’m at kind of an impasse. Dad’s always been convinced his father was Cherokee. My own DNA test shows that I'm about 1/3 Indian, so his father and/or mother had to have been, but there may have been other nationalities as well (my grandmother was a Romero, so there's Spanish there as well)

As I’m still somewhat of an amateur genealogist, I’m not sure how to proceed, but am following any lead I can find.
Does anyone have a suggestion?
Wayne
I have Lucinda listed the last time in the 1860 Polk County, Georgia Census. Post Office in a place called Pompkin Pile. She Had John S Youngblood abt 1859 I have a death date for her of 1861. The next time I find the family is in Arkansas, Franklin County 1870 census. Edward is married to Celia Stapp. Edward is the son of Abner Youngblood who was born in South Carolina. his mother was Rebecca (no maiden name yet.) I would love to find burial Location. Abner had moved to Arkansas and passed there in the late 40 or early 50. 1870 Edward is listed Edwin age 30 he and Cecil had 2 girls by this time and the 3 boys of Edwards and Lucinda the 2 girls Maria J Youngblood 5
Mary E Youngblood 1, I have heard he also went by Ed.
I have checked every resource I have with no luck. Not shure if she passed in Georgia or Arkansas. Thanks so much
Lillie
Jim - such an old post, I don't have much hope.

However, here goes.

My great-grandfather was William Arthur Youngblood, born c 1880 in South Pittsburg, TN, died in Panola Co TX 1957.

His father was John Stone Youngblood.

I know there is a connection between your Laura Youngblood, the Raulstons and my Youngblood. Just can't quite figure it out yet.

Please reply if you receive this message.

Would love to hear from any others researching this line of Youngbloods from TN. I have much information on the family who went to Panola County, TX (and to Arkansas and New Mexico along the way).

My Great Grandfather was Rev. Peter Youngblood from here in Floyd and Polk County, Ga. He was a Methodist preacher and his wife name was Talitha. According to his obituary he was born March 10, 1825 and died May 9, 1902. My Son did a Heritage of Rev. Peter Youngblood in 1997 with all of his ancestors up to that date. I sure hope that we are talking about the same person and we can converse with each other. I have been researching my "Youngblood" family roots. I am Dorothy's daughter. According to what I have found out Sadie Youngblood was married to Anthony Moss. Don't know much else about Sadie, Gerdie or Hester. Jesse Youngblood's first wife was Nancy J. Wicker, his second wife was Elizabeth J. (Tabor) Briggs. Have lots more info

I came with my grandmother to your Grandmother's funeral.
My Dad is Carl.

I'm sorry to say that I don't have anymore info on the Youngbloods or the Julians. I have visited William and Parthenia's gravesights near West Plains.
Hello:

If you every have any response from any "Youngbloods" whose family is from Visalia California, could you please have them notify me. I am searching for the family of Charles Wesley Youngblood, born in Texas, several sons, one David Curtis Youngblood, daughter, Dale "Youngblood" Mendoza. He had several wives and children.

I appreciate this very much. I am sure they are not closely related due to your family tree analysis. But, if there are any inquiries, I really need to contact them.

Thank you,
bnrichey

My dad is her youngest child. If you want more information I can get it to you. I just started this project and am going home to Missouri this weekend for a family wedding and to collect pictures and information to add to my ancestry tree.
If you have gathered any information over the last few years about the Julian's and the Youngblood's would you be willing to share?

Thanks

Brea Foster Fisher
fosterbn@yahoo.com
