Did you live in Gladstone or Milwaukie, OR? I lived in Oregon City until the mid sixties and then moved to Tampa, FL where I still live. I also have a small medical kit and a wonderful pair of tweezers of Dr. Youngman's. I remember Aunt Mae and Uncle Clarence. I also remember Grandmother Youngman who lived in McMinville, OR when I was young. I will send a copy of Dr. Youngman's photo.

I am new to the Youngman search however, I am also a great grandchild of John W. and Florence A. Youngman. My grandmother was Florence M. Youngman, who I believe was his last of four daughters. I grew up in Oregon and Florence and Mae Youngman Boylan lived in Oregon also.
I have more information if you are interested. Also, I have a great picture of Dr. Youngman and his medical journal where he kept track of his baby deliveries in two towns in Nebraska.

Great Grand Father is Edward Benjamin Youngman born 27-12-1884 or 1886 Martha Street, Camberwell, England. he Came to New Zealand with his parents James Youngman and Mary Jane (nee Reeve). on the Zealandia Edward married Elizabeth Ancall at Oxford New Zealand.
I would like more information on this family before they came to New Zealand as this is as far back as I can find.Please e-mail me as I can send a lot more information of the family in New Zealand. e-mail Bethlecky@ihug.co.nz.

It was some time since you posted your message but I have just accessed this message board - the Youngman family seem to have originated in the East Anglia area of England having arrived there from Germany/Netherlands in the 1500s.

Do you have dates of birth for your great grandparents? or perhaps where they came from?

Happy to help at this end if you can narrow the search a bit.

my grandfather was irving youngman.his grandfather was nicholas son of John from hollis NH. I have all the youngman geneology. a book written by Dr. David Youngman written around 1880 helps a lot. have only part of the book sent to me by wayne jones a decendent of Sally youngman.

By the way regarding your research; my Youngamans came from London, Henry's father Henry Robert Youngman started the fish and chip restaurent after leaving London looking for work.
His father John Youngman was a Hatter and Tailor in London, as was his father James Youngman. I beleive that James came from the Norfolk area and his father was Robert James Youngman.Don't know if this is of any help?

I bought, some time ago now, a menu for the Silver Wedding of Mr & Mrs Henry Youngman and a little booklet of nine pictures of the fish restaurant at 23 New Briggate, Leeds.

I take it that this restaurant was owned by Henry?

Anyway, I just bought the items because I am researching the Youngman family of Norfolk and thought there could be a connection, they are now, of no real interest to me. I would rather they went to the family concerned.

The post-cards and menu cost me £5.00. If you want them, at that price, please do get back to me.

I'm researching Jacob Youngman - born 1827 in Bavaria,came to Ripley, Indiana about 1850 and moved to Ellsworth, Wisconsin around 1860.

In particular, I'd like any information about his first wife who died in Indiana before 1860. She was also from Bavaria and her last name was Weiser or Waesner. I believe they had two sons - Christian and Philip.

Any info at all would be much appreciated.

As a hobby, I rescue old photos that have identification on them.

I have two of a little baby, toddler, identified as Agnes YOUNGMAN. The one photo, she appears to be about 3 months old. In the other one, she has grown, has more hair and is possibly 6-9 months old.

One of the photos were taken in Bethany, MO.

I am searching for the parents of Jacob Youngman b. abt 1825 KY. Jacob Youngman married Sarah Marks 23 Oct 1845 in Hancock Co., Indiana. I have reason to believe that Jacob's father also lived and owned land in Indiana. Any help is welcome. I am willing to share information.

I don't know if I can help you but we can try. I was born Youngman and half a half brother that I speak to now and then. He has a brother by the name of Richard, I have the address and phone number for him. I have attempted to contact him and collect information myself on my father but he fails to reply.

I have new info that tells me my line is out of Jacob Youngman, but not for sure.
John Youngman b. 1800 KY, ma. ?, moved to IN had 2 children, Jas and Mary Jane, moved to MO, had one child, Louhany, moved to Arkansas and had twin sons, Thomas and Joseph. He and son Joseph do not appear in 1860 anywhere so I can assume they have passed away. Nothing on who the mother is but she is not in the 1850 census of Denton TX with the rest of the family.
When and where was your John born.
Anything would be helpful.

Do you have any info on the Jesse, b. 1809? I have a Jno Youngman b. 1800 in KY. Could they have been brothers. I have just discovered Jno (John) so don't know anything about him before 1850 other than what census records for 1850, Denton TX tell me. Just a long shot. E-mail me personally or reply to this.

I have received some info from a very nice lady.
1850 TX Denton Co. census
Jno Youngman, b. abt 1800, KY
Jas Youngman, b. abt 1835, IN
Mary Jane Youngman, b. abt 1836, IN
L. Youngman, b. abt 1839, MO
Thomas J. Youngman, b. abt 1844, AR
Joseph Youngman, b. abt 1844. AR
No mother is listed here so we can assume she died sometime after the twins were born. The father and Joseph are not with the rest of the family in 1860. The siblings are scattered but I found them all except Mary Jane. I think she was in MO since both of her children were born there.
I am working overseas and don't have anything but my computer to look anything up. Would someone be so kind as to look in the obituaries in Arkansas (maybe Madison County) to see if a Youngman woman died between 1844 and 1850. It may have happened in Denton Texas as well.
Would appreciate anything anyone would do. Thanks in advance.

I was wondering about that myself because I couldn't find Ralph in the census as being a child of Phillip's. Of course I am just guessing that this Anna is daughter to Phillip because she is the only Anna Youngman listed in Sleepy Eye at that time (abt. 1900). Would you like me to search the census for your Ralph? I have access to the 1870, 1880, 1900, 1910 and 1920 censuses. Let me know. My email address is bulblvr@aol.com.
