My family originated in Germany as Von Junker. They came to the states in the early 1800's and dropped the Von. Tombstones in Mt. Angel,Oregon read Henry and Mary Junker. Some of the family then moved to Kansas around the Wichita area and eventually the name has become Yunker. If this sounds familiar, please contact me with any information.
