My father's family is Zakrzewski, and lived in Jersey City, NJ at the turn of the century and tereafter. What I have is that three Zakrzewski brothers emigrated (first Czeslaw and Micrislaw in 1907, then my grandfather Anthony in 1909) from the Kolno area of Lomza, Poland (which at the time was I think still Russia). The first brothers were joining their uncle Frank in Jersey City - I don't know when he came to the US, but he was born in Poland. Frank died in 1933 at the age of 65. Czeslaw - Chester - died in 1932. Micrislaw - Mitchell - died in 1911.
Does any of this match anything you have? I know that there were also brothers Louis and Martin Zakrzewski in Jersey City in the 1930s. My father called them his uncles, but they wre more likely cousins of Chester, Mitchell and Anthony. Possibly they were sons of Frank, but I think not because Frank shares a grave with Chester, Mitchell and Anthony instead...
