I am certain we are searching for the same family. Michael Zamiska is my great-grandfather. According to the Social Security Death Index he was born 28 Mar 1889 and died Jul 1970. My grandmother, Elizabeth Olga Zamiskie said that Michael was born in Czechoslovakia and died in his home in Latrobe, PA. He emigrated to U.S. when he was about 13 years-old. After emigrating he changed his surname to "Zamiskie".

He married Ann Lakstock (my grandmother's spelling). Ann was born on 2 Nov 1895 in Czechoslovakia and died Dec 1958 in Latrobe, PA.

Michael and Ann had 8 children who survived beyond infancy. Four addition children were said to be stillborn. The children according to age are:

John and Elizabeth are buried in Unity Cemetery in Latrobe, PA

Michael and Ann are buried in the Byzantine Ukrainian Cemetery on Latrobe Derry Road, Latrobe, PA behind the church that they attended.
