Josef Zemanek was born January 27, 1850 in Zbysov, South Moravia, and died September 30, 1919 in Bryan, Brazos County, Texas. He and Family departed Hamburg on 10/12/1880 shown as heading for New York on SSBerlin. Cannot find arrival record.

I'm looking for marriage and death information on Dorothy Zemanek, born abt 1917 to John James Zemanek and Anna Grobelny in Illinois. She had two brothers; Raymond P and John F.

I have been told she might have been married as many as 5 times. So far I've only been able to identify 1 of these husbands; Alexander Knight.

i am in Illinois- my grandfather had the same name- I doubt if he is the same person -however there arent that many zemaneks in the chicago area- there is a frank zemanek buried near him- how can i help you

I am trying to get information on two brothers & their families from Vienna, Austria. Frank Zemanek b. 5/2/1884 d. December 1968 in Cottekill, New York, was living in Newark, New Jersey in December 1936. George b. 7/4/1893 d. 11/19/1975 in Annandale, New Jersey, was living in Hampton, New Jersey in April 1941.
Frank's wife was Josefine Boqulin b. 1885, their son Frank b. 7/24/1904 in Wien, Austria d. November 1986 in Flemington, New Jersey, his wife was Helen b. 12/20/1908 d. January 1994 in Flemington, New Jersey.
George's wife was Mari b. 4/11/1897 in Bogoroslaw, Russia, d. March 1986 in Cliffside Park, Bergen County, New Jersey.

I have info on joseph Zemanek who married Rosalia Simek. Joseph was born 8/15/1840 in Veseli, Bohemia. he died 1/13/1913 but i don't know were. From what i have they had a daughter Sophia L. Zemanek born 2/24/1870 Wall, Bohemia married John Tuma in Dubuque,IA 9/21/1897 and died in Portland, Oregon 7/30/1945.
Joseph's parents were(Father) Vincent Zemanek born 12/18/1808 died 6/24/1864. (Mother) Josephine Pankner Born 7/26/1812 Vesely, Bohemia ( father was also born in Vesely) Died 9/28/1891.

The spelling of our name was changed to Zemonick and I am looking for any info. My Great Grandparents lived near prague John and Maria Zemanik he had a brother that married he sister and i know they moved to Argintina.

Do you know if Joseph had sisters named either Mary or Catherine? They also were from Bohemia. Both these sisters married my great grandfather Wenceslaus Mickel. First Mary then she died and my mother had been told then he sent back to Bohemia for Mary's sister Catherine and then he married her.He came from Prague.
