Classification: Query
Looking for information on the descendants of Joel Zerbe and Annie Levan Slough.
Their children include Alvin S. Zerbe, theologian; James S. Zerbe, patent atty/inventor; Richard L. Zerbe;
Francis E. Zerbe; Clinton D. Zerbe, inventor/chiropractor/dish washer; and Abigail Zerbe.
I have a fair amount of information on Alvin and James.... little is known about Richard, Francis,
and Clinton, other than they frequently appear as witnesses on patents filed by their brother, James.
James or J.S. as he's usually known, appears on over 100 patents, either as an inventor, witness, or
attorney.
Especially interested in Clinton's date of death, it appears he died in or around Dayton, Ohio and
likely around 1944 at the age of 87.
James lived in Delaware, Ohio; Cincinnati, Ohio; Nebraska; New York; Los Angeles; and Arkansas before he died
in NY around 1921. Clinton lived in Sandusky, Ohio and Dayton, Ohio that I know of. Alvin lived in Dayton, Ohio
for a number of years and died in Dayton, Ohio.
