GRANDVIEW, Iowa -- Jack Zetler, 73, Grandview, died Saturday, Dec. 6, 2003, at Lutheran Homes, Muscatine.
Service at the Geo. M. Wittich-Lewis Funeral Home, 2907 Mulberry Ave. The Rev. Dan Schoepf will officiate. Burial will be at the Grandview Cemetery. Pallbearers are Homer Snyder, Don Noah, Bryan Hoben, Don Lett, Bill Beik and Junior Weber.
Mr. Zetler was born April 24, 1930, in Muscatine, the son of Grant Arthur and Mary Patrice Moore Zetler. He married Kathleen M. McCaffrey May 8, 1955, at Little Bit of Heaven, Davenport.
He served in the U.S. Army from September 1952 until September of 1954 during the Korean Conflict.
He worked for the U.S. Postal Service as a mail carrier for more than 30 years.
He enjoyed having coffee with the guys in Grandview, happy hour in Wapello and tinkering around on the farm.
Survivors include his wife; two sons, Michael D. Zetler of Letts and Terrill 'Terry' Schmidt of Pueblo West, Colo.; two daughters, Pamela Knott and her husband, Michael, of Muscatine and Patricia Strouse of Camdenton, Mo.; four grandchildren, Rob 'Robin' Schmidt and his wife, Andrea, Erica Knott, Emily Knott and Troy Thomas; three great-grandchildren, Shelby and Kaleb Schmidt and Treven Thomas; and a brother, Jim Zetler and wife Pat of Jupiter, Fla.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
