Hello David,
Yes we are in fact related. Your grandmother and my father were borther and sister. My dad's name was Oscar Jr. and we lived in Kirklin, Indiana.

I am still working on the family tree information and i have been since i was in the 7th grade. I am now 53 years old. so i have hit my head against several brick walls over the years. I have some information on the Knarr and Deweese lines if you are interested in them. Let me know, or anyone else for that matter.

my grandmother (eve zetterberg) married a james biddle.
nelson oscar zetterberg is her ggrandfather i believe. but my date of birth is sometime is 1859. im looking for info for their parents in sweden. im from noblesvile indiana but have lived in houston texas for 20 years. eve passed away in 2004 and lived most of her life in arcadia. please email back if possible.

Hi! My name is Anna Zetterberg and my great grand-father is from Sweden. I don't know his name, but my grandfather's name was Ralph. Zetterberg is a good last name to have! :)

John Zetterberg

I am looking for information on John Zetterberg. We know he was born in Swedan around 1859, according to his death certificate which has his last name spelled Setterberg. He married Emma Nelson (also from Swedan) on March 2nd, 1898. They lived in Chicago, IL. He died on November 22, 1898 just 8 months after they married and 5 months before his son was born. His son's name was John August Zetterberg who married Ruth Yocum.

This is very interesting! Since John's son's name is John August Zetterberg their is a strong possibility that they are related. I will pass this on to my other Zetterberg relatives and we will see if we can come up with anything!

Hi I have a friend with the last name "zetterberg", she works with me, I am doing a research about my last name and genealogy, but some day I asking her what was her last name, she said "zetterberg", she told me that his great grandfather and grandfather came from sweden (If I remember) and her family were altmost kill in the WWII, she told me too that her grandfather saw how a german soldier took one of their grandson of the legs (a baby) and smash it up in a wall, was a very sad story for me. She said that she is the only Zetterberg family that immigrated to southamerica (like my family) and well we are living in Lima, Peru.

If you know some connection of some Zetterberg family from Peru and elsewhere, please post a message.

Setterberg/Zetterberg Connection

After decades of getting nowhere on my Zetterberg ancestry, I got a lead on my great-grandfather's Swedish origins, and signed up for a trial membership on Genline, since his home parish was included. It's been worth it - though I'm suffering eye strain from reading blurry old parish documents in Swedish over a computer screen! But - I've added several generations to my Zetterberg tree!

Anyway, I've tracked my family back to Vadstena in the mid-1700's. The interesting thing is, their name is reported as both Zetterberg and Setterberg (sometimes for the same individual at different times). So I want to recommend that you search for both names when doing research. There's a definite crossover.

Also when we were in Stockholm last month, I noticed that the phone book cross-references both names (i.e., see also: Setterberg).
