We are descends of John & Susannah Smith Zike.

we are exploring the marriage of John Zike after Susannah died to Mary Scott. We believe Mary was b 1804 PA; believe she was a widow so therefore married to a Scott; believe she and John had two sons: William b sep 15 1833 and Isaac b 1843. We are unable to find John Zike in 1850 census.
We believe we found Mary Scott Zike:
1850 Bethel Branch Co MI Mary is 46 b PA her sons are Wm 17 and Issac 6 b IOWA, as well as a 17 year old Albert Cemings(Cummins?) and a two year old Saml Fowler?.
We do not find Mary Scott Zike in 1860 census. We do not find Wm Zike b 1833 in 1860 census taken about July 2 in Jackson Co (he is married there July 22 1860 to Harriet Poore) We do find Isaac in Jackson w/the Noe family. Isaac dies in Civil War but two years later.
Question: Where is marriage record of John Zike and Mary Scott? To whom was she married before John? Did John go to IOWA after Susannah died (where some Zikes were living) marry Mary Scott there and have these two sons? Did the family return to Jackson Co IN where John died and Mary Scott Zike went to Michigan with two sons? Did Mary die soon after and two sons returned to Jackson Co?
