James Robert "Zeke" Ziler
March 14, 1928 – March 8, 2011 - Cumberland, Md., to Miramar Beach, Fla. After graduating from high school, James 'Zeke' Robert Ziler entered the Air Force and met his wife, Elizabeth Hilary O'Donnell. They celebrated 56 years of marriage and have three children, Jim (Vicki) Ziler, Tom (Theresa) Ziler, and Beth (Charlie) Fincke; and four fabulous grandchildren, Mathew Ziler, Garrett Fincke, Jordan Ziler and Jeffrey Ziler.
Zeke was a technical sergeant in the U.S. Air Force for 10 years before beginning his studies from Indiana Institute of Technology and graduating with a degree in aeronautical engineering. He utilized his knowledge and education as an aerodynamicist for the Saturn 1B Earth Orbital Space Division while working for Chrysler Space Division. He was fortunate enough to utilize his education and receive a patent for his research in Cold Flow Vibration Testing. After retiring from Westinghouse Nuclear Division he continued to be active within his communities by serving as a respected president and board member for the German Club of Fort Walton Beach, Fla., Uatan of St. Petersburg, Fla., and Bayside Owner's Association of Miramar Beach. He loved to sing, so he joined the German Club Choir of New Orleans and the Resurrection Catholic Church of Miramar Beach.

A time of visitation will be held at Davis-Watkins Funeral Home, 8 Racetrack Road N.E., Fort Walton Beach, on Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m., with complimentary valet parking.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday, March 11, at the Resurrection Catholic Church, 259 Miramar Beach Drive, Miramar Beach, beginning at 11 a.m.
