In researching my own family, I actually got a copy of an obit you might be interested in. Not sure who it is (first name) because part of it didn't copy. Those of you researching will surely know. I will write what I do have for you.
He was 63 when he died. He had heart disease. (this paper is the Bismarck Tribune, approx. September 17, 1941)
He had been in the hospital since Aug 24th. (I would assume it was St Alexis, right in Bismarck)
He was born in Hastings, MN on July 14, 1878. On June 25, 1906 he married Lena Appert at Hazelton, North Dakota where the couple lived many years while he operated a machine implement business.
The family have made their home just north of Bismarck for the last eight years.
He leaves besides his widow the following children: Martin, Emil, Vincent, Norbert, Harold, Leo and Julianna, all of Bismarck, and Irene of Mannerville, MN.
He also leaves the following brothers and sisters: Nick Zirbes of Watertown SD, John and Henry of Castlewood SD, William and Julia of San Francisco, CA, Mrs. John Herkes, Castlewood SD, Mrs. Carl Schlosser of Braddock, and Mrs. Vince Rotty and Mrs. A.G. Schafer of Vermillion SD.
Funeral services will be held Friday at 9am in St. Mary's cemetery. The body is at the Calnan Funeral home.AMona91216@aol.com
