I am grand daughter of Kurt and have been thinking about a family tree. The initial message posted caught my attention but it was posted a long time ago! Do you have any info on Kurt's, parents or Grandparents. I would love to know.
I met Hans when Silvan was married in London and saw Bela regularly until we emigrated to Australia in 1978.

I am searching for the descendants of Bela Zola (born approx. 1910, married to Senta, died in England) and the descendants of Hans or Jean Pierre Zola (born approx. 1916, married to Mireille, died in France). They were brothers, and had two other siblings - Kurt and Gretty.

It's very possible that the picture is of the French writer Emile Zola, who died in 1902. He was very famous, so there is a great deal of information about him on the Web. There is a little information on the Web about his great-granddaughter, Dr. Brigitte Emile-Zola. The 1937 movie "The Life of Emile Zola" is a great movie, although somewhat fictionalized. The portion of the movie involving Zola's involvement in the Alfred Dreyfus trial is excellent.

My husband and I purchased an antique album in New Beford, MA. A small newpaper portait of Emile Zola (a man) was in the album. Emile might not be his fully spelled name as a corner is missing. We would like to go to the rightful decendants of Mr. Zola.

JOHN ZOLA
John Zola and his wife, the former Apolonia Bolik and son, William, came to the United States fra the Austrian part of Poland, in 1896, settling first in the Leo and Greenbush, Minnesota area.
Four children were born to them:
Mike Zola
Isabella Zola
Joe Zola
August Zola

In 1905 the family moved to Walshville Township to start farmng. Two children: Frank and Sylvester were born there.

William, Mike and August live near or in Oslo. Isabella (Mrs Grabanski) lives in Warsaw, ND. Sylvester lives near Rodger, MN. Joe died in 1971 and Frank died in 1973. Joh Zola died in 1945 and his wife died in 1951.

I am seeking information on the family of my great grandfather, Herman Zoul born 12 Nov 1887, son of Anton Zola and Mary Kronkia(?). Anton Zola was born 10 May 1851, in ? Austria. He arrived in the United States 14 May 1880 and settled in the Cleveland area. His brother may have been Blasius Zola born 3 Feb 1883. Anton may have changed his surname in the early 1900's from Zola to Zoul. Any information would be greatly appreciated.

Dear Leah,
The Italians pronounce Sophia so-fi-a , they also write Sofia. I am married to a Zola from Sardinia, in the prvince of Nuoro there are a lot of Zola's, you may have heard of Gian-Franco who plays for Chelsea FC he is a very long distant cousin of my husband.
Emile Zola was another famous Zola he was born in France his mother was French and his father was Italian.
