Zuffas and Canada

My husband's grandmother was Juliana Zuffa, also from the same region. The family included Jozef [11/9/1874]who immigrated first to New York in 1899 and then to Fort William, Ontario, Canada in 1901, Apolonia [2/1/8166] (whose daughter Maria Lehocki also immigrated to Fort William and married Jozef Reguly there in 1913)as well as Teresia [2/6/1878], Vincentius [28/4/1861], Maria [3/12/1863], Michal [5/12/1868], and Joanes [21/7/1871]. Their parents were Michael Zuffa (also spelled Zufa) and Anna Kurlatakova.

When my daughter visited the region in the summer of 2010, she was told most Zuffas married other Zuffas or Dedinsky's, so it is easier to trace someone from the Zuffa family who married outside these two names.

Perhaps my husband is related to you.
