I have genealogy information on Charlie and his wife and siblings, and his ancestors from Germany. In 2005 I had taken ill and underwent major surgery. My recuperation time after surgery hindered me from continuing my genealogy research until recently. Previous to my illness, I had shaired Zwirn family history info with some of your family members living in Colorado.

Would be happy to share and compare with you. My name is Beverly Zwirn-Godfrey and live in Illinois. My e-mail is: godfrey17636@comcast.net. I would prefer you e-mailing me. Since a stroke I had, I have difficulty with my memory and getting into some programs is a real challenge for me.

I have some photos and letters that Charlie sent to my dad as they corresponded with each other.

This would be my family. Charlie Zwirn and Mary Miers would be my great grandparents. I have some information on them. I would be willing to share with you what I do have.

Checking through my somewhat skimpy information on the Zwirn lines, I find no mention of a Charlotte Zwirn or Schultz. My line settled first in Iroquois County, IL in 1860s & 1870s.
Suggest you contact Bev @ bjg493@sbcglobal.net. She is in my line, but has extensively researched the Zwirn name and has accumulated a wealth of information. Bev's been ill recently so she doesn't check these boards daily.

Charlotte Zwirn/Schultz

I am looking for information on Charlotte Zwirn who married Carl Schultz in Prussia 1847. Charlotte immigrated to the USA in 1864 with her 7 children. Upon arrival in New York she discovered her husband, Carl, who immigrated the year before was dead. Charlotte went on to Illinois and married the widower, Anton Ufken. They lived in Montmorency, Whiteside County, IL.

ISO connection with Caroline Zwirn (no birth or death info yet), m. Henry Cassens in IL, maybe Peoria around 1880. Several children were Anna,m McKiernan,1888-1955, Caroline, m Elmore, George, 1890-1964, Walter Gottlieb, 1898-1968, may have been others, all lived & buried in/around Peoria.

Germany 1880. Came to the states in 1896.
Parents Nathan and Minna (Ruchine) resided
in Germany as did his siblings. Max, Leo,
