I am going to list the information that I have regarding the Skellenger Family. If there is anyone that can add information please do! The name Skellenger can be spelled in various ways I have found. (Skellenger, Skellinger, Skelenger, etc.)

Notes: Allen Skellenger was murdered in Stokes State Forest by John Cruver. Susan remarried Harrison Ayers and had five more children (surname Ayers). Britton (died young) Kate, Warren, Jane and William.
Susan and Harrison are buried in Layton Cemetery.
The burial place of Allen is unknown. The story of Allen's death is in the Snells History of Sussex County. "Hettie" died unmarried and is also buried in Layton Cemetery, Layton, New Jersey. Census records for 1860 show a son "Jason T. Skellenger" who was 4 months old at the time. I also have a son Isaac, but I am not sure whatever happened to him.. I have been told that "Isaac Skellenger", if that is his name, moved to Port Jervis, NY.

David Skellenger married Betha Norman. Per his obituary
of 10/10/1963 "he lived at Rockport Road, in Wantage. He was 80 and a native of Hainesville". "A retired laborer, Mr. Skellenger had lived in Wantage for the past 10 years and previous to that had resided for about nine years in New Milford, NY. He was a member of the Minisink Valley Rod and Gun Club." " Surviving are two sons and eight daughters". He was buried in the Clove Cemetery.

There is a Susan or Evelyn or her name could be Susan Evelyn and they called her Evelyn. I have an Evelyn Skellenger married to a Claude Delamaker (not sure of last name) and a note that she died 12/16/1948.
David Skellenger, Jr. who married Martha Willis (of Ogdensburg) Lawrence Skellenger who married a Shirley but note says they ivorced.
