Fred hello
You have a great deal of Blair info and maybe u can help me.
I have the surname Blair on both sides of my parents.

Here is some info I recieved but have not confirmed it.

jacques Phillipe & madelieine Feret of Arras,Artoise, France their son jacques phillippe Vetu dit Belair married marie Lorache FEB 26,1724 in Montreal Quebec, then their son joseph Belair married catherine Boiselle, then their son michel Belair married marie des Janson, then their son jean jacques Belair married marguerit Daigle, then their son william isaac Blair married mary ann Pitre, then their son william james Blair married dora viloet Little.

only other info is joseph marie dit Belair Vetu brn 17 APRIL 1725 in Laprairie Quebec

michel toussaint Belair christening was 1 NOV 1759 Vercheres Quebec married marie des Janson 7 FEB 1785 in Vercheres Quebec

marie ann Laroche brn 17 AUG 1702
none of the above is confirmed.

my ggg grandfather and grandmother on my dads side is james Blair and margaret Daigle, their daughter margaret Blair married william richard Matthews, my gg grandparents, their daughter martha miriam (miriam) Matthews married robert Russell my g grandparents, their son joseph harold (harold) Russell brn JUNE 13 1904 Belledune N.B. married flora ann Gray my grandparents.

on my moms side my gg grandfather john russell Blair brn march,15,1822 or 1823 in Bathurst N.B.Canada or Quebec Canada, he married margaret king Gibson in 1863 in New Brunswick, their son john frederick Blair married mary ann Sherman, my g grandparents, their daughter margaret elanor Blair. 1rst married vincent robert Taylor my grandparents, 2nd she married james Flowler.

It is said that the Blair`s on both my parents sides are somehow related, and that they are of french, Irish and Scotish decent.

I know my g uncle james homer Russell brn 1895 in Belledune N.B. he use to work the railroad and he use to stay at his cousins john fredeick Blair in McAdam N.B. john fredrick Blair is my g grandfather on my moms side, james homer Russell is my g uncle on my dads side. I have not been able to connect these 2 lines of Blairs!!

my gg grandfather john russell Blair is suppose to be a grandson of a Lord john Russell or Sir john Russell who forwhatever reason was granted much land in Quebec, and a year after the grant it was revoked and he and his family relocated and settled in N.B.

It gets so confusing with both surnames Blair and Russell showing up on both my parents lines.

thankyou in advance

HEIDI RUSSELL
