I am looking for information on Gilbert Harvey WILCOX b. 27 Sep 1823 who married Gladys May LEE on 26 Feb 1948. They had a son Dorval Ferris. Gilbert's father was Jonathon Ferris WILCOX and his mother was Ida Anna RICE. If anyone has any info on any of these family I would sure appreciate hearing from you. It seems this family was in Farmington, Davis, UT for quite some time. Also if anyone knows of a book written on the community of Farmington I would love to know what it is and where I could get a copy of it.

Thanks for listening
Cindy

Hi Cousin! - Yes - Send me an email to my address and I will be very glad to hlep you with all the above questions. You missed an *incredible* reunion last year honoring Ida Ann 'Annie' Rice Wilcox and Jonathan. Their home is still standing way above Farmington on the mountain where we held the reunion! I grew up directly below there home. I just found an obit notice for Jonathan and have a copy of Ann Rice and her son Guy in the 1880 Census. etc etc. There is a brand new DVD all about them which I have to order myself; I love their story. I am descended from Jonathans brother James David Wilcox. I don't have my personal copy of the most popular Davis Co History books but can tell you how to find them. Please write! - Charlynn [Wilcox] Clark

hi!
I am looking for a picture of a Ruben Wilcox. Was an older gentleman in the 1940's. I am trying to put faces to stories that my father has told me about his younger years in Farmington. If you can help me that would be great!!

HI - We must be related! Yes I'm sure I do have a picture of Reuben Wilcox. We lived directly below 'Rube's Place' and my older family members knew Rube. Fascinating family, by the way! Were you at the fabulous reunion last year honoring his mother Annie Rice Wilcox??? There is a lot of information available and I would love to share it with you including pictures going back further. I would need to check with my brother but I am thinking that Rube was 'gassed' in the war and his mind was kind of destroyed afterwards but I can verify for sure whether that's him or a brother of his. There are booklets and CD's just put out this year about Annie's family and story which I need to order - email back!
Charlynn [Wilcox] Clark [daughter of Clyde H Wilcox, son of James Henry Wilcox, son of James David Wilcox the brother of Rube's father Jonathan.] How can I get the photos etc to you??

One more question - who is your dad? I must have known him! And it sounds like we are probably related? - Charlynn

Hi,
I am not a relative of the Wilcox's family but my father Dean Pierce lived in Farmington from birth 1930 -1948 shortly after his father died. His father was Henry Oliver Pierce (Ollie) but my father remembers Rube well and I have typed up some stories that my father has told about him that and that is why I would love a picture of him to go along with them. Are you also a decendant of Amasa Clark of Farmington? again not a relative but I have been told so much about life in Farmington in the 30's and 40's ( acording to Dean Pierce) that I feel like I know everyone. My husband is a decendant of John W. Hess and Mary Ann Steed of Farmington and I am also a desendant of John & Fanny Goble Wood of Farmington. I have read about the Wilcox line in the My Farmington Book aren't they the family that took in the Indian children??
Thank-you for your reply!
Marcie
