Since Clark Co. has town/city named Kaufman, I am seeking information on a Walter & Ray/or Roy? WILSON, two children who were about 2 to 8 yrs old between 1890 and 1910. Their names are given on back of a photo addressed to my grandparents, Robert "S" ARMOUR and Susie Cora (WYATT)ARMOUR, who lived in Sedgwick Co., KS ca 1890 until 1903. At the bottom of photo is printed, "Cummings[or Pummings?] Studio" at "Kaufman." Inscription is "for cousins, Rob & Susie". Through which surname are they related? Other surnames: STEWART, WEIR, WOODRUFF, FRENCH.

After nearly seven years, I have finally found who these children in the photo are. Walter and Ray/Roy Wilson are sons of David M. Wilson and wife, Martha (Woodruff) Wilson. About 1913 this family was living in Caddo, OK. Martha took the children to visit her parents, Albert H. Woodruff and his wife, Matilda (Carter) Woodruff in Barry Co., MO. Thanks to the County Coordinator of Barry GenWeb site, who has transcribed many early Barry Co., MO newspapers, I found an article which mentioned the children and their visit to their grandparents. Photographer's location is most likely Kaufman, TX, so it will not be Kaufman, Clark Co., ID. David M. Wilson listed Kemp, TX on his marriage license in Barry Co., MO in 1896. Don't throw your old photos away; just keep searching! Please note new e-mail address.
