I'm originally from Nofoalii. My mothers family are the Tanuvasa Livi's. My dads family are the Tutuilas-Silivas. The surnames look familiar. I'm sure my dad would know them all.

Surnames: Asa, Uele, Tanuvasa
Hi Kinereta - sounds like you might be from the same line as my husband Uele (son of Moeao & Laina). Moeao's mother (Asonei Tanuvasa) and Tanuvasa Livi's mother (Ososo) were sisters. Their brother is Asa.

The Tanuvasa Livi I'm speaking about is in his 70's now. His wife Vaasa passed away about year ago. Some of uncle's kids include June and Papau in Tokoroa NZ; Charlie and Vio in Oz; Mei and Sereana in Samoa. Uele grew up with Anu who died in a car accident in the States, along with her 2 kids. Their bodies were returned to Nofoalii for burial. He also grew up with La. One of his sisters Niu, was raised by Tanuvasa & Vaasa.

Is your dad from this same line? be interesting to know - the fanau are everywhere -- and I mean EVERYWHERE !!!

Hi Falaniko and Narlene,
I have forwarded your reply to my mother. She is hoping to reply to you soon. What a very small world, especially given you are situated in Lower Hutt. I have seen in search of grandpas family especially since I do not know too much about this side but thank you for the reply. Here is my email address: rita.siliva@etsl.co.nz. I would really appreciate any more information.

Kind regards,

Hi,

Did you guys hear about Fanuas death - my grandfathers (Lautasi Asa) oldest sister. Tanuvasa Livi, and Iuni came from Samoa for the funeral. She died 6th of May, buried at Waikumete Cemetery out in West Auckland. Its quite a big family - all three sides came i.e Asa, Osooso and your grandmothers side. My mother sends her regards. If you have time, can you post a brief outline of your connection.
