Norm, I am a descendent of Herschel Carter Adwell
whom was married to Pauline Branham. Could this be a connection to you. My grandfather was the first county tax collector in Glasgow, Ky.
also he was the first man to have been given a blood transfusion and the blood was donated by a negro. Any information would be appreciated.

Looks like I might be related to many of you. My Grandparents were Dell and Lilly Adwell of Horse Cave, KY. My Grandmothers maiden name was Merideth. If we are related it might be interesting for you to find out you are also related to Floyd Collins who was a cousin of my fathers.

Hey Cuz,

Your mother was Mayvonnie Adwell. Your grandfather was Dell Adwell, son of Bud and Lucy Hood Adwell. Your grandmother was Lillie Wood Meredith. Lillie's father was Ellie Meredith and her mother was Mary McCandless.

You must be related to Floyd Collins through your dad??

In case you are interested, I wrote a book on the Adwells.

We have an Adwell Reunion at the Cave City Community Building August 19, starting at 10:00 am cst. Would love to meet you there. You will have lots of kinfolks there.

E-mail me for more info. :

Take Care and God Bless,
