Looking for information on the Aigner family. Specifically Charles Aigner originally from Austria (spoke German)m Bertha Beetz; and William Henry Aigner B1898 D1969 of Manston, Minn. married Ethel Loff.

My name is Kelly Williams. My grandmother is Peggy Aigner, daughter of Gustav William Aigner. Gustav had a sister named Hulda who married Jack Sanford. If you are the right one,(which I think you are), I have been in contact with your dad, Mark Sanford and your uncle, Jack Sanford. For one thing, Hulda was born in Texas cause her father, Gustav Adolf Aigner was also born in Texas. Hulda's grandparents, Charles Aigner and Fredrick Thomason were both born in Germany. I have yet to find out if Gustav Adolf has any other brothers or sisters that were born in Germany or the US. Hulda had 10 brothers and sisters: Hulda, Gustav William, Ervin, Jim, Laura, Clara, Garrett (G.H.), Ludwig, Adolf, Agnes, and Maria. I dont know about an Otto Aigner, unless its the brother to Gustav Adolf Aigner. Gustav Adolf Aigner married Marie Reese, daughter of Stanislus Reese. Marie was born in Austria in 1871 and came to America when she was 2 or 3. Marie's mother I'm told is buried in La Grange,Texas,though I dont know her name. I belive Stanislus is buried there also, but I am not for certain. My GGG Grandfather was Charles Aigner born in Hamburg, Germany before 1863. He was married to Fredrick Thomason who was born in Braslau, Germany also before 1863. Fredrick and Charles had a son born Texas. I am not sure of any other children. Their son, Gustav Adolf Aigner was born in Texas in 1863. I'm Maria Aigner , born in India to John Charles AIgner son of Alois Aigner.My grandfather had a wife and son in germany and was in Hitlor's army. He came to India
and married my grandmother ,Beatrice Wheeler

My grandmother was Centa Aigner Peissinger, from the Altfraunhofen (East of Munich) area of Bavaria, near Landshut. There are several families of Aigners in this and surrounding areas, most related, but some not.

Hello again. Would you believe I have just found this web site again to read the replies to a query I made 3 years ago? I have read through all of the replies and do not find a connection to my husband's family. I have a rootsweb site with a lot of his Aigner line in it.

If you see any connection to your lines, please let me know. So far, all of my husband's line seem to be from Minnesota and Oregon. They originated in Sonnenberg Germany are are said to have come through the port at Salsburg, Austria.

Hi Lee Ann, I am not an Aigner but I live about 10-12 miles from where the village of Manston,MN used to be. I also know Wayne Aigner who lives about 5-8 miles from Manston,MN in the little town of Wolverton,MN . I don't know his family history but there must be a connection. I talk to Wayne maybe 3-4 times a year so I could either give you his phone number and/or address or I could ask him if he knows anything about his grandparents. He is about 70 years old now.
