Looking for descendents of Peter Aliesch of Schiers, Switzerland, mid-1800's. Many emigrated to the US, and would like to hear from them, but most particularly for anyone that might still be living in Switzerland.

My X-husband's mother was Lola Ursula Aliesch Marshall. Her father was Frederick Aliesch but don't know her mother's name. He was a dam engineer but had no dam work here because of not knowing the language and ended up working in a factory. They came to the US about 1907 when Lola was about 8 years old, and settled in Wisconsin. She was the youngest in a family of 8 girls. I don't know if they had other family in Wisconsin. I would be interested in hearing from anyone who knows the family.

Friedrich Aliesch's wife's name was Maria Kindschi. Lola (Ursula) appears to be one of eight children. Another of the eight was Barbara. She married Gottlieb Gammeter who was a cheesemaker and they raised 13 children near Mt. Horeb, Wisconsin. I have more info if you're interested... And, I'd love to compare notes!

Kari, great to hear from you. Yes, there were 8 daughters and Lola was the youngest. My 4 children know nothing of their Aliesch family. The only thing Lola ever told me is that her father was Welsh and her mother was French. My email address is GSpencer425@earthlink.net.

I am looking for a Lucia Aliesch who married a BUOB.
She was born about 1830, She lived in Switzerland, Italy, and her ashes maybe on a farm in Geneva.
She had a son Nicholas Buob born April 1853 in Verona, Italy and he was a teacher in England and died and is buried in Geneva. He may be at the Cemetery of Plainpalais.

If you are unable to help me with any information on this family, maybe you would be kind enough to give me an address for obtaining death certificates for late 1800's in Geneva
Thank you.
rampike
