I have been trying to research my family tree, however, I have run into a stumbling block and my family contacts are deminishing. I know that my family came from East Texas around Rusk. This was my grandfather and his 3 brothers (Roy, William, and Sheryl). My great-father was from Arkanas, but we do not know his name only initials (W. Arnwine). I believe before that we came from Tennesee and Pennsylvania. I would appreciate any information that could help further my research.

Lea Anne -- My name is Jim Arwine and my ancestors were from Virginia, Tennessee and Pennsylvania. Most eventually settling in several Indiana counties and in Tarrant County, Texas. I'm from the Brown County, Indiana branch. Possibly we can help each other, you can contact me at jra334@juno.com.

You would probably have more information than I would. The information I have is very limited. My grandfather had three brothers, none had children. They lived in Rusk, Texas. Their names were William, Roy, and Cheryl. My grandfather's name was Forrest. All I know about my great-grandfather is his first name began with W. and he lived in Arkansas somewhere around Little Rock. If you have any information that may relate to this I look forward to hearing from you again.

I have MANY Arnwines from Montour/Colunbia County ca 1700 to present. Jacob et al. Which part of PA are yours from. I notices an Arnwine from an Indiana USCW regiment. I was always wondering if he was a relative of my line.
