I now have direct Aylott line back from now, via Joseph Aylott to 1650.

Jacqueline, Sorry but I have no detail of Stanley Aylott. Do you know where he came from or was married?. do you have birth/marriage certificates?. I do have a lot of detail on my branch of the Aylott tree (courtesy of Bill & Jean) and we may be connected. Please get back if you would like to know more.

Surnames: Aylott Hammond Ryan
I have been reserching the Hammond and Ryan Family and there is a connection to the Aylott Family. A Florence Aylott married Frederick Hammond in West Ham in last quarter of 1895. Children were Frederick 1896, Walter 1898, Florence 1899 Sophia 1900, Ivy, Ethel, Rose, John, Lucy, Alice, and Agnes Eliza.

Agnes Eliza Hammond married Thomas Robert Ryan about 1925.

For the Aylott Family I have found the following.

From the LDS website 1881 census, living at Eastfield Road Enfield George Aylott aged 43 born Enfield occ labourer (Ag) wife Sophia aged 41, son Edward aged 17 born Enfield occ labourer (Ag), Arthur aged 15 b Enfield Factory boy (gun), Albert aged 9 born Enfield, Alice aged 6 born Enfield, Florence aged 4 born Enfield, Georgina aged 3 born Enfield, Henrietta aged 2 months born Enfield.

From the LDS International Genealogical Index, George Aylott married Sophia Saunders on 7/5/1864 at Enfield. George Aylott's parents are given as Joseph Aylott and Sophia Larman and he was christened 4/10/1837 at Enfield.

Joseph Aylott married Sophia Larman on 14/3/1829 at Tottenham. The children were Henry 1836, George 1837, Ann 1840, Joseph 1843, Mary 1844 and James 1850, all born at Enfield. The birth place for Joseph Aylott and Sophia Larman are given by the LDS site as Walkern Herts

There are various entries in the LDS website for the Aylott family going back as far as 1657, but I am unsure of the lineage or even if this site information is correct. Can anyone help with this.

Hi Stephen,
Seeking to verify parents of Matilda JONES AYLOTT born about 1829 in Wales were Rowland [Roland] JONES and Elizabeth [nee THOMAS and/or EVANS] JONES. [See 1871, 1881 and 1910 UK census below for Matilda JONES AYLOTT.] I do not know if her parents immigrated but possible siblings who emigrated to New York, USA were:
~Joseph B. JONES b. 1823; ~Susan [Emma] JONES b. 1837; ~Mary JONES b. 1844,
~John R. JONES b. April 1838, ~Elizabeth JONES b. 2 May 1833 & emigrated in 1855.

On the May 3, 1917 obituary of Susan JONES HUGHES, my 2nd great grandmother, in Barneveld, Oneida County, NY, it lists three sisters: Mrs. Matilda AYLOTT, London, England; Mrs. Elizabeth OWEN [OWENS], Poultney, Vt., and Mrs. Mary WILLIAMS, Granville, NY.

THANKS :-) in advance,
Jan in Vermont USA
